Dr. Betsy Chapman is the Senior Executive Director of Family Communications and Engagement at Wake Forest University and Part-Time Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication. She has primary responsibility for communicating with Wake Forest undergraduate parents and families across a variety of platforms. She is the author of the Daily Deac blog (https://parents.wfu.edu/daily-deac/), which covers Wake Forest activities, news, and college-parenting advice. She works with the WFU Should Know weekly student e-newsletter, as well as with institutional and crisis communications. Betsy has been at Wake Forest for over 27 years, serving in a variety of roles supporting alumni, parents, and families.

In 2019, she earned a doctorate in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro; her research focused on parent and family interactions with the college related to readership of blogs and other institutional communications.
