Palmer Holton is the creator and director of When the King Held Court, a documentary about Elvis Presley’s obsession with racquetball, produced for ESPN Films. His screenwriting has been awarded and recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences™ Nicholl Fellowship, the Austin Film Festival, the UCLA Professional Program, and the BlueCat Screenplay Competition. In addition to his film work, his short fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Slate’s Future Tense series and The American Scholar. He teaches classes on animation production, science fiction cinema, screenwriting, and film history.
